Forget the street address, I use landmarks!

I’m a landmark man. Street addresses don’t work well with me. Really. How easy is it to drive and read the address on the mailbox or building (when they have them on the building) without running into a lamppost or another vehicle.

Google Streetview has been making quite a name for itself in recent months mapping and photographing all kinds of locations around the states and beyond. This service can make it quite easy for customers to look at your shop, and see how to get their visibly from where they are traveling without the car accident. Including this into your website, along side the location map provides those of us with the visual skills versus the navigation skills a better opportunity to actually find you!

Mobile Website Pages

The internet is continuing to show promise for shop owners. Independents business owners should not only be actively reviewing what they are doing with their website, they should be investigating newer technologies for marketing and sales purposes.

One of the newer ones that we are advising clients to be aware of and integrating into their business is mobile web pages. Take for instance the customer who breaks down on the side of the road. No longer are they just dialing 411 for information on the nearest shop. They are able to go online with the new mobile phones, search for local shops, get directions, review the website and make an informed decision.

If a shops website takes too long to load on that phone, the customer will most likely move on to another shop. Creating mobile web pages from your current site is fairly easy and the rewards in the future can become great in measure.
